Climate Change

Climate Change is caused by a large variety of natural and man-made disturbances of the evolution of our planet. Many of these disturbances are presently being studied and analyzed. Their increasing complexity shows, for instance, that instead of absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, the Amazon suddenly became a net producer of greenhouse gas during the extreme drought of 2005 caused by climate change and the effects of El Niño : for the first time it produced more than 5 billion tons of carbon dioxide and exceeded the annual man-made emissions of Europe and Japan combined.
